Dr. Amanda Dykstra
Amanda Dykstra completed her veterinary degree at Iowa State University in 2003. During college, she served as a flight medic in the Army National Guard, which led to an interest in emergency medicine and surgery that has stayed with her throughout her career. After graduation, Amanda practiced in Missouri for many years before completing a Fellowship with UC Davis in 2013. She has been practicing in Tennessee for four years and was recently certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. Amanda’s husband is a middle school teacher, and they have three amazing daughters and two ornery dogs that keep them very busy. She is excited to join the team at Chilhowee and looks forward to meeting many wonderful clients and their pets.
